Safety Features Built Into Every Gas Stove Vanguard's Gas Stove Heaters are designed certified by the American Gas Association and meet or exceed all regulations and safety performance standards for gas appliances. Additionally, these heaters perform well within nationally recognized guidelines for indoor air quality. Vent-Free Burner Systems feature a dual purpose safety pilot system which protects against oxygen depletion and any interruption in the fuel supply. If either occurs, it shuts off the gas flow to the burner turning the heater off. All burner systems have an internal pressure regulator to control fluctuations in your gas pressure. These features ensure clean and reliable heat without the worry and inconvenience of burning wood. All Stoves feature a screen front door.
