Rasmussen Vented Gas Logs

Vented gas logs are designed to be burned with the damper open in any wood burning fireplace that is capable of burning real wood. Rasmussen Vented Gas Logs are one of the most realistic looking gas logs on the market today. They produce a very natural looking flame that burns just like a real wood fire. The logs themselves are intricately crafted and hand painted to look like real wood. Each gas log set has a wide variety of burner and pilot control options including match-light, on/off remote, thermostatic remote, and variable flame remotes (a remote that will adjust the flame height).

If you are burning LP gas (liquid propane), you cannot use a match-light system, so our options will always have some type of a safety pilot if you select Propane.

"F" Series Flaming Ember "X-TRA" Burners are constructed of heavy 16-gauge steel, with 1/2" schedule-40 pipe (not light duty tubing) for the main burner tube and 1/4" steel tubing for the ember booster portions of the FX burner. All seams are welded for maximum performance and durability. Rasmussen vented pan burners utilize a pan filler, which completely covers the burner tube (s). The gas pressurizes beneath the filler, then breaks through into a dancing, smoky, wood-like flame. Pan filler varies with gas type: White Sand for Natural Gas: Black Volcanic Ash for Propane (plus an air mixer and orifice). Safety Pilot Kits are required on all LPG (Propane) installations.
