Vented gas logs are designed to be burned with the damper open in any wood burning fireplace that is capable of burning real wood. R. H. Peterson Vented Gas Logs are the most realistic looking gas logs on the market today. They produce a very natural looking flame that burns just like a real wood fire. The logs themselves are intricately crafted and hand painted to look like real wood. Each gas log set has a wide variety of burner and pilot control options including match-light, on/off remote, thermostatic remote, and variable flame remotes (a remote that will adjust the flame height).

If you are burning LP gas (liquid propane), you cannot use a match-light system, so our options will always have some type of a safety pilot if you select Propane.

Peterson Real-Fyre Gas Log Systems are accepted by most national and local building codes and authorities, and are available with one or more of the following listings or certifications:  CSA, RADCO, ICBO, BOCA.  MEA 417-02-E for NYC Residents.

Radiant Heat Chamber Many Real-Fyre styles feature the Radiant Heat Chamber. Laboratory tests prove Real-Fyre Gas Logs with interior Heat Chambers not only radiate more heat more efficiently...they also ensure a cleaner burn. Steel Reinforcing Rods  To further add to the integrity of Real-Fyre Gas Logs, precisely sized and designed steel rods are inserted into each log. This provides maximum reinforcement and prevents breakage. Superior Materials Real-Fyre gas logs are made of superior refractory ceramics, expanded shales and aggregates and use an advanced calcium aluminate binder.  This combination of materials, pre-fired in a rotary kiln, provides the following:  Greater Compressive Strength (Allowing finer detailing in the log making process without breaking or chipping, and producing a longer lasting log. Higher Bulk Density providing more radiant heat, both while in operation, and after the set has been turned off. Better Rheology (Flo Rate) meaning a better texture to the logs, fewer "bugholes", better strength, and less water in the mix, for better consistency of product. Higher Refractories Real-Fyre refractory material has a Pyrometric Cone Equivalent of 2650 degrees (F), higher than any other log and higher PCE means better ability to withstand heat over time.  Real-Fyre logs won't break down. Lower Iron Content.  Other materials have more iron.  Iron turns to iron oxide and changes the color of logs.     G46 Burner Information

AGA/CSA advanced glowing coals burner.  This patented Ribbon Burner Technology System features a control valve with built in regulator and piezo ignition system.  The G46 burner system is one of the most advanced gas log burner systems on the market.  The built in safety pilot or millivolt pilot is conveniently hidden in the rear of the burner system with easy access to the control knob.  With the millivolt gas valve, a remote control can be added.  The sleek design of this burner system allows you to put a larger than normal set in your fireplace.  From 40,000 to 65,000 BTUs.  Available with factory installed on/off safety pilot kit or millivolt pilot kit control.  Shipped for either natural or L.P. gas, just specify when ordering.

    G5 Burner Information

    G4 Burner Information

Advanced burner system creates dancing flames, maximum glowing effect and provides radiant heat into the room.  Natural and L.P. gas.  From 25,000 to 150,000 BTUs.  Burner systems exceeding 90,000 BTUs are not included in the RADCO listing.  Includes: RADCO certified glowing ember burner, custom grate, glowing embers, sand (natural gas) or vermiculite (L.P. gas), bendable connector kit with brass fittings for 1/2" line, grate clips, damper clamp, warranty card, and installation instructions.  Shipped for either natural or L.P. gas, just specify when ordering.  Gas valve is ordered separately.

Outdoor Stainless Steel Burners are available in 18", 24" and 30" sizes with Btu's as shown below.
G4 Burners for outdoor use include Glowing Embers, Sand or Vermiculite, Connector Kit, Custom Grate and Damper Clamp.  Propane burners must use minimum safety pilot kit.
