The MDV is certified as a vented gas fireplace heater to ANSI Z21.88/CSA 2.33 standards with Btu ratings ranging by model from as low as 22,000 up to 36,000. The Monessen MDV vent-within-a-vent isolates the incoming fresh air from the exhaust, yet will requires just a single hole through the wall or roof.
